Matthew Leverone founded Leverone Design in 2007 to focus on fine residential interiors. He was raised on the East Coast in a family deeply committed to art and design. Having lived in San Francisco for more than two decades, Leverone has cultivated a design language that marries East Coast refinement with the ease and casual grace long associated with life in California. His interiors, richly layered yet distinctly modern, privilege proper scale, proportion, and craftsmanship, qualities he nurtured over many years of practice in prominent architecture and design firms. He oversees a team of dedicated designers large enough to tackle major house projects but small enough that he remains intimately involved in every step of the process.

Leverone Design is an intensely collaborative office, harnessing the talents of the entire Leverone staff with architects, landscape designers, artists, and craftsmen, each committed to a shared vision of what constitutes a truly great home. That vision begins and ends with the client’s family—how they live, what they need, what inspires them. Regardless of the architectural context, the through lines that unite Leverone’s wide-ranging interiors remain consistent: clean lines, distilled forms, artisanal flourishes, and warm, inviting textures. Leverone Design is currently applying those principles to projects in California, Hawaii, Idaho, Wyoming, Mexico, and beyond.
